Amirhossein was born in Tehran, Iran, in 1998. He is an M.Sc. student in the field of structural and earthquake engineering. He started his M.Sc. program at UBC on the 1st of January, 2022. He got his B.Sc. degree from the Isfahan University of Technology (IUT), Isfahan, Iran. Amir is interested in the seismic design of tall buildings and finite element-based simulations. Amir has done a meta-analysis to study the seismic behaviour of previously tested diagonally reinforced coupling beams (DRCBs), particularly the total inelastic rotation and stiffness of these beams. He is also working on the steel-reinforced coupling beams (SRCBs) by conducting experimental testing to evaluate the stiffness of these beams.
