On Wednesday, January 10th, 2024, the ASSET Group research team at the School of Engineering, UBC Okanagan, had the honor of hosting a visit from the UBC President, Dr. Benoit-Antoine Bacon. The meeting served as a platform for introducing the UBC President to the ongoing research initiatives within the ASSET Group, led by Dr. Lisa Tobber.
The occasion provided an opportunity for students and post-doctoral fellows to showcase their work, with a particular focus on resilient structures and sustainable housing. This engagement was not only an insightful exchange but also a chance for the research team to elucidate their contributions to advancing knowledge in structural and earthquake engineering. Noteworthy attendees included the VPRI, Phil Barker, adding to the significance of the event and underscoring the importance of the research conducted by the ASSET Group.
